Standard System

4mm FR PVDF Aluminum Composite Panel

Construction 4mm total thickness — 0.5mm aluminum alloy skin each side, FR mineral-filled core centre.Aluminum alloy: 1100-H14 or 3003-H14. No PE (polyethylene) core. Available in 3mm for interior applications.
Coating System PVDF Kynar 500® — 70% polyvinylidene fluoride, exterior-grade fluorocarbon finish.Factory-applied by coil coating. 25–30 µm dry film thickness. Colour-stable to 20–30 years under direct UV. Passes AAMA 2605 weathering standard.
Fire Rating FR core — flame spread index ≤ 25, smoke developed index ≤ 50.Compliant with CAN/ULC-S134 (exterior wall assembly). Suitable for residential and commercial facade applications under the Ontario Building Code. B1 classification per European EN 13501-1.
Standard Sheet Sizes 1220 × 2440 mm (4 × 8 ft) standard stock.Custom lengths to 6000mm available on order. All sheets cut and folded in-house to any panel dimension. Minimum order applies for non-standard sizes.
Panel Weight Approx. 5.5 kg/m² (1.13 lb/ft²)Lightweight relative to solid aluminum or steel — reduces structural load and simplifies subframe design.
Fabrication Tolerance ±0.5mm on all cuts, folds, and routed returns.CNC router and precision brake press. All panels templated from site measurements where required.
Warranty 10-year PVDF coating warranty against fade, chalk, and delamination.20–30 year expected service life under normal Canadian climate conditions. Warranty void if panels are installed without approved sealant and drainage provisions.
Thermal Expansion 2.4 mm per metre per 100°C ΔTPanel joints and attachment points must account for thermal movement. Our fabrication drawings include appropriate clearances.
Wind Load Resistance Designed to project-specific wind load per NBC 2020 calculations.Subframe spacing and anchor point design varies by building height, location, and exposure category. Engineering drawings available on request.
Colour Hundreds of standard colours in stock. Custom RAL or Pantone matching available on order.Colour matching lead time: 6–10 weeks from approval. Minimum quantity applies. Gloss level options: matte, satin, semi-gloss, high gloss.

Core Options

Choose the right core
for your project.

High-Rise & Institutional

A2 Core

Near non-combustible mineral core, classified A2 per EN 13501-1. Required for high-rise residential, hospitals, schools, and buildings above 18m where OBC mandates non-combustible cladding. Higher cost and longer lead time.

Interior Use Only

PE Core

Standard polyethylene core. Excellent formability and the lowest cost option, but carries no fire rating. Not suitable for any exterior or code-governed application. Acceptable for interior signage, display, and furniture.

Compliance

Tested and
documented.

We provide full product data sheets, test reports, and compliance documentation for permit submissions. Ask your project manager for the spec package.

CAN/ULC-S134 Canadian fire test for exterior wall assemblies. Our FR core system passes. Required documentation for Ontario building permit submissions involving ACM cladding.
AAMA 2605 American Architectural Manufacturers Association standard for high-performance exterior coatings. PVDF Kynar 500® coatings are certified to this specification — the highest rating for architectural coatings.
EN 13501-1 (B1) European fire classification. FR core is B1 — flame retardant. A2 core is A2 — near non-combustible. Referenced in Canadian technical submissions for equivalency.
ASTM D4145 Standard for coating flexibility of prepainted sheet metal. All panels pass for field fabrication and forming without coating failure at standard panel brake angles.
Ontario Building Code FR core panels are compliant for most low and mid-rise construction under OBC Div. B. A2 core is required for combustibility-restricted occupancies and buildings over 18m.

Where It's Used

Built for every
facade type.

01

Residential Facades

Single and multi-unit residential exteriors. Rainscreen systems, feature cladding, garage and entrance accents. FR core standard.

02

Commercial Envelopes

Office buildings, industrial facilities, and mixed-use developments. Full envelope systems with engineered subframe and drainage.

03

Retail Storefronts

Brand-aligned signage panels, column wraps, and feature fascias. Fast fabrication turnaround for tenant fit-out timelines.

04

Soffits & Canopies

Concealed-fix soffit panels and canopy cladding. Clean shadow lines and hidden fasteners — no exposed screws.

05

Column Wraps

Structural column cladding in flat, angled, or curved panels. Common in parking structures, lobbies, and commercial podiums.

06

Interior Feature Walls

Reception areas, elevator lobbies, and high-traffic interior surfaces. PE core acceptable for interior — FR recommended for any egress-adjacent location.

07

Signage Panels

Flat-cut and router-formed sign faces, building ID panels, and wayfinding systems. Precision routing with 0.5mm tolerance.

08

Renovation & Reclad

Overcladding existing facades to improve performance and appearance. Panel systems are lightweight enough to mount over existing substrate without major structural upgrades.
