About
Everything you need to know about aluminum panel cladding, facade systems, and how Pure Fabrication delivers them from concept to completion.
What Is Aluminum Panel Cladding
Aluminum panel cladding — commonly known as ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) — is an exterior wall covering system made from two thin aluminum sheets bonded to a solid core. The result is a panel that is lightweight, rigid, weather-resistant, and available in virtually any colour or finish.
It is the material behind most modern building facades you see in Toronto today: the clean flat surfaces, the sharp reveals between panels, the matte charcoal or brushed silver finishes on custom homes and commercial buildings. If a building looks architectural, there is a good chance ACM is involved.
Beyond aesthetics, aluminum cladding protects the building envelope from moisture, wind, and temperature changes — making it one of the most practical and durable exterior systems available for Canadian climates.
Lightweight & Strong
ACM panels weigh a fraction of solid metal or stone, reducing structural load while maintaining rigidity across large facade surfaces.
Weather & UV Resistant
Designed for harsh Canadian climates — freeze-thaw cycles, heavy rain, UV exposure. The finish holds colour and gloss for decades without fading.
Fully Customizable
Flat, perforated, brushed, matte, gloss, wood-grain, stone-effect — panels can be fabricated in nearly any size, shape, and finish.
Low Maintenance
Once installed, aluminum panels require minimal upkeep. No painting, no sealing. A periodic wash keeps the facade looking new for 20–30 years.
Types of Panels
The most widely used exterior cladding system. Two aluminum skins bonded to a polyethylene or fire-resistant core. Available in matte, gloss, metallic, brushed, and custom finishes. Used on residential facades, commercial buildings, and high-rises.
Thicker, heavier, and more architecturally assertive than composite panels. Used when the design calls for a stronger material presence — feature walls, canopies, soffits, and bold accent elements. Non-combustible and extremely durable.
Not every facade fits a standard panel. We fabricate custom shapes, angles, returns, corners, and reveals to match any architectural drawing. Complex geometry, unusual dimensions, or site-specific conditions — we cut and form it to spec.
Why Aluminum Cladding
Building Envelope Protection
A properly installed cladding system acts as a rainscreen — keeping water, wind, and cold away from the building structure. This protects the wall assembly, prevents moisture damage, and improves insulation performance.
Design Flexibility
Aluminum cladding is one of the few exterior systems that gives architects true freedom — precise panel sizing, flush joints, deep reveals, colour-matched trims. The result is a facade that looks intentional, not assembled.
Long-Term Value
Compared to brick, stone, or wood siding, aluminum panels hold their appearance and structural integrity far longer with far less maintenance. For both residential and commercial properties, cladding adds lasting curb value.
Residential & Commercial
Aluminum cladding works across project types — custom homes, infill builds, mid-rise developments, retail facades, office buildings. The system scales from a single feature wall to a full multi-storey envelope.
How We Make Panels
We start with raw aluminum sheet — not pre-made panels from a brand. Every panel is designed, cut, folded, and finished by our own team, to the exact dimensions of your project. That's how we control quality at every stage, from material to installation.
We take precise field measurements before anything is cut. Every dimension is verified against the architectural drawings.
We cut, route, fold, and finish each panel in-house. Complex shapes, returns, and custom reveals are all handled internally.
The aluminum subframe is installed and levelled on site before panels arrive. Clean layout means clean installation.
Our team installs every panel. Concealed fixing, tight reveals, aligned joints — the finished facade matches the drawing exactly.
What We Offer
Who We Are
Pure Fabrication is a Toronto-based aluminum cladding company built by a team with over 10 years of fabrication experience in the Middle East. We came here to do something simple: make this city's buildings look better than they do. We start from raw aluminum sheet — we design, cut, fabricate, and install every panel ourselves. No outsourcing, no middlemen. Toronto is growing fast, and we think it deserves facades that match that ambition.
